Dr. Rogerio Meirelles chose radiology out of a desire to diagnose and, as he puts it, to see beyond the skin. He graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo in 1999 and completed his residency in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at Santa Casa itself, from 2000 to 2002. He holds a specialist title from the Brazilian College of Radiology (CBR) and is a member of the CBR and of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).
He has been at Vita Imagem since 2003 and works at Torre Marechal. He performs MRI, CT, ultrasound (including fetal anatomy scans), mammography, bone densitometry and X-ray. He has a special interest in imaging of the female pelvis and the nervous system. He sees patients in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
He is also dedicated to training new doctors: he coordinates the Medical Residency Program in Radiology at Hospital Itamed and heads the Vita Imagem Ultrasound School.
Outside the clinic, he is married to Danielle and the father of Laura and Luísa. He enjoys traveling and reading, and sports are part of his routine, with running, swimming and the gym. He is a marathon runner and dreams of completing the great marathons of the world circuit.
