Our story
We grew together with the city.

01 1995
The beginning
Vita Imagem began in 1995, when two radiologists came together: Dr. Luiz Carlos Piotto (CRM 12165-PR · RQE 6264) and Dr. Elaine Lucia Rossoni (CRM 10823-PR · RQE 7014). At the time, the clinic was known as "Rx do Costa" and was later renamed Radimagem.
To this day, both are part of our team of radiologists.

02 2001 to 2009
Growing with the city
From 2001, as care at Hospital Itamed became more complex, the team was reinforced: Dr. Alexsandro Rodrigues de Oliveira (CRM 18990-PR · RQE 16486), for MRI, and Dr. Evandro Costa Rosa (CRM 18988-PR · RQE 12889), for ultrasound. The trust of the doctors who referred their patients brought new colleagues, such as Dr. Rogerio Gonçalves de Campos Meirelles (CRM 20820-PR · RQE 13724), Dr. Pedro Leonardo Cabral Fernandes (CRM 20827-PR · RQE 13928 and 13962), Dr. Christovao Conde Peres Junior (CRM 11195-PR · RQE 14273) and Dr. Jarbas Siqueira Paranhos (CRM 23073-PR · RQE 15203).
In 2003, we opened a downtown location to serve the population faster. Soon came the renovation of the space and the modernization of the equipment, with digital X-ray and mammography.
In 2008, with the arrival of Dr. Cristiano Ferrari Siqueira (CRM 25281-PR · RQE 19954), we opened the Nuclear Medicine department, in partnership with Hospital Itamed. The following year, the multidetector CT scanner arrived, which also makes it possible to assess the heart arteries without invasive procedures.

03 2010 to 2016
A new name, the same commitment
In 2010, we adopted the name Vita Imagem. The change came to modernize and humanize the brand, around an idea that guides us to this day: technology in favor of life.
The team kept growing. In 2012, Dr. Karla Cavallieri Nacif Juliani (CRM 22186-PR) and Dr. Nillo Posse Wanderley (CRM 29918-PR · RQE 18664) arrived. Between late 2013 and early 2014, Dr. Alexander Miraglia Steiner (CRM 21116-PR · RQE 26240), Dr. Eduardo César Juliani Santos (CRM 22112-PR · RQE 23998 and 15615), Dr. Atilio Hummel Azevedo (CRM 32406-PR · RQE 17924) and Dr. Eloana Diorio Azevedo (CRM 32368-PR · RQE 17565) joined.
In 2014, in partnership with Hospital Itamed, we brought in a 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner, with exams such as cardiac and breast MRI. In 2015, we welcomed Dr. Jane Nassif (CRM 34390-PR · RQE 19000 and 37754) and started serving at the Hospital Unimed location, with X-ray and ultrasound.
In early 2016, a second 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner expanded the schedule, and Vita Imagem started taking part in the Medical Residency Program in Radiology, in partnership with Hospital Itamed.

04 Today
Three locations and 27 doctors
In 2017, to make service even faster, Dr. Flavia Coelho D’Oliveira (CRM 37962-PR · RQE 24187) joined.
After that, the team kept growing with the arrival of radiologists Dr. Diogo Telles Dias de Moura (CRM 36710-PR · RQE 30073), Dr. Élton Schmitt de Almeida (CRM 35025-PR · RQE 29759), Dr. Flávia Raiane de Oliveira Ottobelli (CRM 48628-PR · RQE 36808), Dr. Melinda Mallorquin Cabral (CRM 41781-PR · RQE 29832), Dr. Ricardo Marcos Schmidt (CRM 46185-PR · RQE 34208) and Dr. Weslley Erick Wentz (CRM 57343-PR · RQE 35609), and of physicians Dr. Doreen Boff Zadinello (CRM 55186-PR), Dr. Marcos Leandro dos Santos (CRM 50780-PR), Dr. Michael Wallace de Sousa Pereira (CRM 58620-PR) and Dr. Samir Sanchez Abdallah (CRM 22032-PR).
Today we are 27 doctors, alongside biomedical professionals, radiology technicians, nursing staff and the whole patient care team.
We serve at three addresses: in Vila A, inside Hospital Itamed; inside Hospital Unimed; and at Torre Marechal, downtown, with spacious facilities, a Kids Area and a digital pre-registration kiosk.
In 2023, we took a new step in teaching and created the Vita Imagem Ultrasound School. It is a two year program for doctors with a CRM, with theory classes and supervised hands on practice with the equipment, alongside the clinic’s radiologists, in the real routine of diagnostic imaging. Admission is by interview, and one of the highlights is the possibility of working in a high complexity hospital. It is the way we found to share with new doctors what we have learned over more than three decades.
We also achieved the international Qmentum accreditation at the Diamond level, the highest in the program, which assesses quality and patient safety.
Maintaining the quality that earned the trust of patients and doctors in Foz do Iguaçu has always been the focus of our attention.
