Dr. Nillo has 20 years in Medicine and came to radiology after working in emergency care, primary care, maternity and internal medicine, and serving in the Brazilian Air Force as a Medical Second Lieutenant. He graduated from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) in 2006, completed his residency in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at the Federal University of Uberlândia in 2012, and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Imaging at PersonalRad in 2015. He has presented scientific work at radiology events, such as the Brazilian Congress of Radiology and the São Paulo Radiology Meeting (Jornada Paulista de Radiologia).
He has been at Vita Imagem since 2012 and works at all locations. He performs MRI, CT, ultrasound with Doppler, mammography, X-ray and image guided procedures, such as biopsies. He has experience in cardiovascular imaging, including cardiac MRI, coronary CT angiography and pediatric cardiac imaging, and took part in creating and standardizing cardiac imaging protocols. He sees patients in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
He likes to study, compare and understand why each thing is done a certain way, and whether it could be done differently. After two decades in the profession, he says the most important turning point was realizing that success in Medicine is not only about how much you know, produce or achieve, and that behind every exam there is a person going through an important moment in life.
Born in Trindade (GO), he has lived in Foz do Iguaçu for 14 years. He is a husband and father of two and says being a father comes above any hobby. In his free time, he travels with his family, reads, plays the piano and does crossfit, which he calls his space for challenge and discipline.
