Dr. Élton Almeida was born in Foz do Iguaçu and took a different path to radiology: he used to be a dentist, but it was in diagnostic imaging that he found his place. He likes the field because every day brings a new challenge.
He graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rondônia (UNIR), in Porto Velho, in 2015, and returned to Foz do Iguaçu for his residency in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at Fundação Itaiguapy, completed in 2020. He holds a specialist title from the Brazilian College of Radiology (CBR), of which he is a member.
He has been at Vita Imagem since 2020 and works at the Vila A unit, at Hospital Itamed. He performs MRI, CT, ultrasound (including fetal anatomy scans), mammography and X-ray, and sees patients in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
He is a father of two. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, listening to music and playing video games, and keeps up a gym routine.
