Dr. Doreen Boff Zadinello is a physician, born in Medianeira (PR), and has been part of the Vita Imagem team since 2024. She graduated in Medicine from Universidad Privada del Este (UPE), in Paraguay, in 2022, with her diploma revalidated by the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel). She performs ultrasound exams, including obstetric and fetal anatomy scans, and mammography, at Torre Marechal, Hospital Unimed and Hospital Itamed. Besides Portuguese, she sees patients in Spanish and English.
Her decision to study Medicine came from a moment she never forgot: she saw a young woman having a seizure and realized she did not yet have the knowledge to help. From that feeling of helplessness came the wish to get the training to make a difference in people’s lives. In imaging, she believes in the impact of an attentive eye: the exam often helps identify changes early and guide the next step together with the patient’s doctor.
Before Medicine, she started courses in Accounting, Languages and Education, and did several exchange programs in the United States, because she loves to keep learning. She is a mother of two, has a twin sister and five cats, and has volunteered with an animal protection NGO. In her free time, she travels, reads, listens to music and goes to the gym. A fun fact: she is very claustrophobic, so she understands well those who arrive anxious for an exam.
