Dr. Alexander Steiner was 15 when a great aunt looked at him and said she could see him in a surgical mask: she asked if he was thinking about studying Medicine, and he answered that he was starting to think about it. That answer became a path. He chose imaging out of a wish to help people with quality exams and caring, humane service.
He graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1999 and completed his residency in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at Hospital de Ipanema, in Rio de Janeiro, in 2003. He took specialization courses at Cetrus, in São Paulo, and holds a title in Diagnostic Imaging, with practice limited to General Ultrasound, from the Brazilian College of Radiology (CBR), of which he is a member.
He has been at Vita Imagem since 2013 and works at Torre Marechal. He performs ultrasound, including Doppler and fetal anatomy scans, and mammography, with a special interest in women’s health and pregnancy exams. He sees patients in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, he has lived in Foz do Iguaçu since 2004. He is married with two children and loves traveling with his family: the farthest place from home he has visited is Alaska. Tennis came into his life together with dating: his wife gave him a racket and warned him that, in her family, everyone plays, and that for a serious relationship he would have to learn. He also enjoys reading, cooking and volunteering, and keeps up a gym routine.
